A hypothesis is basically an educated guess, all in all. How you form a hypothesis is like this: “If (the independent variable; What you’re changing) ____, then (dependent variable; what is being measured)...___”

A hypothesis can be wrong. Your prediction may not always be right. But you first make a hypothesis of what you think will happen in the experiment. Then you try it out.

The scientific method (typically lasting of 6 steps) is
1. Ask a question
2. Research and gather info
3. Form a hypothesis
4. Test out the hypothesis/make an experiment
4. Analyze the data you collected
6. Draw conclusions
