Explanation:

Write an equation.

c= the cost

p= the number of pizzas

8p means $8 per pizza

And adding 3 includes the delivery charge.

c=8p+3

Plug in the numbers 1-4.

1: $11

2: $19

3: $26

4: $35

This equation is NOT a direct equation since you have to add 3 (for the delivery charge) to the numbers.
