Can anybody help me with this bellwork?

Manny is participating in a Bike-a-thon and travels at a constant rate of 6 miles in 20 minutes.

1. How long will it take manny to travel 9 miles

2. How long will it take manny to travel 10 miles?

Answer:

1. 30 minutes to walk 9 miles.

2. 33.33 minutes to walk 10 miles.

Explanation:

I divided 20 by 6, and got 3.33. If you multiply 3.33 by 9 you get 30, and if you multiply 3.33 by 10 you get 33.33.

first, find the amount of time is taken to travel 1 mile :
time taken to travel 1 mile = 20/6 = 3 ⅓ mins
hence, time taken to travel 9 miles = 3 ⅓ x 9 = 30 mins

time taken to travel 10 miles = 3 ⅓ x 10 = 33 ⅓ mins
