Explanation:

You have to use pythagoras' theorem for this.

So AC is the length you want to find.

Pythagoras' theorem is a^2+b^2=c^2

In your triangle, AB=a, BC=b and AC=c

6^2+8^2=Ac^2

36+64= AC^2

100=AC^2

Square root both sides

10=AC

Therefore AC=10m
