Find the perimeter of a quarter circle with a radius of 7 inches.

The answer would be 43.98

Explanation:

Multiple the Radius (7) by 2. You will get the circumference (14). Then multiply 14 by pi. 43.9822971503, or "43.98" just to be safe! ;-)

Explanation:

The circumference of a circle is pi multiplied by the diameter, so...

d=2r

d=14in x pi

Therefore the overall circumference is 14in x pi. A quarter of this would be the curved perimeter of the quarter circle.

14 pi/4=3.5in x pi

The quarter circle also includes 2 radii, and thus 7+7+3.5 is 14+3.5pi inches (pop it in your calculator as I don't currently have one at hand).
