add 30 to the left to make it = to zero

x^2 - 11x + 30 = 0

factor

(x-5)(x-6) = 0

check by FOIL

x times x = x^2

x times -6 = -6x

x times -5 = -5x

-6 + -5 = 11x

-5 times -6 = 30
