524.85= 79.95(3) + 59r

I put $524.85 to the left of the equal sign because that is the total amount spent
Then I multiplied $79.95 by three. This is because he bought 3 tires, each for $79.95
I also multiplied 59 and r, because Samuel bought r number of rims, each for $59
Finally, I added both parts of the equation together because the three tires plus the r rims together cost a total of $534.85
