My relation is a function because we have an independent variable of x - the number of hours an individual works and y- the pay they will receive depends on the amount of hours worked. There is only one input and one output

Domain - all possible input values that can be found on the x-axis.

Range - all possible output values that cane found on teh y-axis.

For example, the point (1, 2)

x = 1 (input)

y = 2 (output)
