Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Malcolm X were both important leaders during America's civil

rights movement. However, they each saw a different way of addressing the challenges faced by African Americans. Choose the leader whose methods and message you found to be the most persuasive. Write an essay that argues your point of view in support of one of the speeches and refutes the arguments made in the other speech. It is important that you use evidence (quotes and ideas) taken directly from the two speeches. Clearly cite this evidence in your essay.

Answer:

Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X were both important leaders during the civil Rights movement. As we know they had two diffrent perspectives on things Martin luther king took the non-violent way while Malcom X took the violent way. I think Martin Luther King Jr. I have a dream speech was inspiring in so many ways in the speech I have a dream it states," I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of it's creed we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." this part of the speech tells us how he was non violent and wanted peace and equality. On the other hand Malcom x speech "The ballot of the Bullet" states " WE're not americans we're africans who happen to be i america. WE were kidnapped and brought here against our will from Africa. We didn't land on Plymouth- That rock landed on us." This part of the speech declares tht Malcom x was more focus on the hatred of Equality.
