Examples of physical change include changes in the size or shape of matter. Changes of state—for example, from solid to liquid or from liquid to gas—are also physical changes. Some of the processes that cause physical changes include cutting, bending, dissolving, freezing, boiling, and melting.

The difference between a physical change and a chemical change is composition. In a chemical reaction, there is a change in the composition of the substance. In a physical change there is a difference in the appearance, smell, or simple display of a sample of matter without a change in composition.

Hope This Helps, Good Luck!
