A cylinder has a base diameter of 20 meters and a height of 17 meters. What is its volume in cubic meters, to the nearest tenths place?

The volume for a cylinder is solved by using this equation;


V= \pi * r^2* h

Where we would use 3.14 in place of

10 would be the radius because the radius is half of your diameter which is 20.

So, Volume will be,


V=(3.14)* (10)^(2) *(17)\\V=3.14* 100* 17=5338 \quad {m^3}

So volume will be 5338
m^(3).
