Read the passage by Bartolomé de las Casas.

[Since New Spain was discovered], great atrocities were committed against the indigenous people of the
region and some were killed by members of the expedition. These so-called Christians set about stealing
from the people and murdering them on the pretense of settling the area. And [since that time) the great
iniquities and injustices, the outrageous acts of violence and the bloody tyranny of these Christians have
steadily escalated, the perpetrators having lost all fear of God ... and all sense of self-respect.
-Bartolomé de las Casas
According to Bartolomé de las Casas, the effect of atrocities, injustices, and outrageous acts on the perpetrators is
that
Othey lose respect for themselves and become anced from God, in whom they claim to believe.
Spanish explorers were stealing, killing, and murdering the indigenous people of the region.
Othey experienced the violence and bloody tyranny of these Christians,
the indigenous people of the region were killed by members of the expedition.

Can anyone help me :)

The question asks what is the effect on the perpetrators of their outrageous acts. So the answer can not be a repetition of their acts or how indigenous people felt; the correct option is that perpetrators lose respect for themselves (A).

Las Casas (1484-1566) was a Dominican friar who defended the dignity of the indigenous people of the areas Spain was colonizing. Being a religious man, he criticized perpetrators of violences highlighting how that violence was incoherent with God's teachings and how it meant these men lost respect for themselves.
