Answer:

Constitution guaranteed freedom to all and rights to everyone.

Step-by-step explanation:

When the American colonies broke from Britain, the Declaration of Independence written. Freedom and equality is the reason for Americans to broke away from the Britishers. Yet at the same, one-fifth of the population was black and were slaves. Most slaves lived in the South, where they made up forty per cent. Despite, many colonists hated slaves, but Southern colonists depend on slavery. The South came under the wealthy colonies as they cultivated cash crops like tobacco, rice, indigo, and cotton by relying on slaves. Slavery in the constitution goes against American democracy as they not treated and given rights as whites in America. Slaves have no rights in the political system, cannot speak for its rights, considered to be property as they are purchased and sold.
