When y= 2,

substitute the value of y in the expression,

2 - y/4 + y + 3(y + 2)/y

= 2 - 2/4 + 2 + 3(2 + 2)/2

= 2 - 1/2 + 2 + 3( 4 )/2

= 4 -1/2 + 6

= 10/1 - 1/2

the l.c.m of 1 and 2 is 2, therefore;

= ( 20 - 1 )/ 2

= 19 / 2 = 6 1/2
