Let the width be x.

Then, Length = x + 2 [ Given, Length is two more units than its width ]

According to the question,

We know that,

\sf \: Area \: of \: rectangle = Length * Width

\sf \bigstar Substituting \: the \: values ...

\sf \: Area \: of \: rectangle = x ( x + 2 )

\sf \rightarrow \: Area \: of \: rectangle = {x}^(2) + 2x

Hence,the area of rectangle is x² + 2x .
