Answer:

6 adult tickets, 4 children tickets

Explanation:

Let a = number of adult tickets.

Let c = number of children tickets.

Equation of numbers of tickets:

a + c = 10

Equation of cost of tickets.

8a + 2.5c = 58

Multiply both sides of the first equation by -8 and add it to the second equation.

-8a - 8c = -80

(+) 8a + 2.5c = 58

------------------------------

-5.5c = -22

c = 4

a + c = 10

a + 4 = 10

a = 6

Answer: 6 adult tickets, 4 children tickets
