Solution: We have number 10 which is subtracted from 3 times the number and the number is divided by 2.
let the number be x, then
3 ( x/2 ) - 10 = 0
or, 3 ( x/2 ) = 10
or, x/2 = 10/3
or, x * 3 = 10* 2
or, 3x = 20
∴ x = 20/3

Answer:

x = 20/3

Explanation:

When 10 is subtracted from 3 times the number and the number is divided by 2, what is the number? ---> 3 ( x / 2) - 10 = 0

3 ( x / 2) - 10 = 0

3( x / 2 ) = 10

3x / 2 = 10

3x = 10 * 2

3x = 20

x = 20/3
