Answer ASAP! Forty rabbits are introduced onto a small uninhabited island. They have no predators, and food is plentiful on the island. Thus, the population grows exponentially, increasing by 50% each year. In how many years will there be 200 rabbits on the island?

Answer:

4 years

Explanation:

Forty rabbits , increasing by 50% each year

first year : 40+(40*50%)= 60 rabbits

second year: 60+(60*50%)=90

third year : 90+(90*50%)=135

fourth year: 135+(135*50%)= 202.5 ≅ 203 rabits

after 4 years

40(1+0.5)^4= 202.5 ( almost 200)
