Friends..!

Let the rational between length and breadth of rectangle be x

Thus length is 3x and breadth is 2x

We know perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth)

Perimeter = 1 meter 40 centimetre = 140 cm.

140 cm = 2 (3x + 2x)

140 cm = 2 (5x)

140 cm = 10x

10x = 140

x = 140/10

x = 14

The rational is 14. Thus the length and breadth of rectangle is

Lengths of rectangle 3x = 3 × 14 = 42 cm.

Breadth of rectangle 2x = 2 × 14 = 28 cm.
