From newtons eauations of motion we know

v=u+at

here v= final velocity, u= initial velocity, a = acceleration, t= time

u = o( initialy object must be at rest)

therefore, 3.5 = 0+ a(20)

⇒ a = 3.5/20 =0.175 m/s^2
