Answer:

A cultural region is a specific area where people share one or more cultural elements or traits. Cultural regions are diverse because geographers break them up to study different elements of culture. Regions can focus on one specific element, such as language or religion. Sometimes, a region can focus on many elements put together, such as government and religion, or architecture and music styles. These regions can also be diverse based on size. Not all cultural regions are split up evenly, because people in the world do things differently. For example, if geographers are studying religion, a cultural region map would show that Christianity is the main religion in the United States. However, there are smaller pockets of Judaism throughout the country. These unique religious regions are found in different sizes. Cultural regions are also fluid. They can change sizes or disappear, or new regions can be formed. For example, when people move, they take their culture with them. An area where people once spoke French may now be dominated by English speakers. These are all examples of how regions can change.
