Difference between savagery and barbarian​

“Barbarian” essentially means “foreign”. The Romans and Persians were barbarians to the Greeks, but both had their own cultural identity and a certain level of advancement in social complexity and technology. “Savage” means no culture, and this term compares humans to animals (which the ancient people perceive to have no society, which is not true).

Savage is an uncivilized or feral human; a barbarian while barbarian is an uncivilized or uncultured person, is often associated with fighting or other such shows of strength.
