If I had to choose, I'd pick the Neolithic Era.

One major characteristic of the Paleolithic Era is the existence of the Hominins.

The Hominins (also known as Australopithecines) were known to be inventors of crude tools made from stones. The tools were mostly for hunting. They were known to be hunters and gatherers.

The Neolithic Era on the other and hand featured more advanced humans.

These were known as settlers and farmers. Given that man, in this era, started farming, he domesticated crops and his choice of food became more and more limited to types of crops he knew to farm.

So I'd go with the Neolithic because, of the two eras, it's the closest modern man.
