Explanation:

PQ =QR if Q is the midpoint

8x+11 = 14x-1

Subtract 8x from each side

8x+11 -8x = 14x-1-8x

11 = 6x-1

Add 1 to each side

11+1 = 6x-1+1

12 = 6x

Divide each side by 6

12/6 = 6x/6

2 =x
