Answer:

The x coordinate is 2

Explanation:

Given

A = (-2,5)

C = (6,-1)

Required

Determine the x coordinate of B

Since B is the bisector of AC, then B is the midpoint and will be calculated using;

B(x,y) = ((x_1 + x_2)/(2),(y_1 + y_2)/(2))

Considering the x coordinates alone;

x = (x_1 + x_2)/(2)

Where

(x_1,y_1) = (-2,5) and
(x_2,y_2) = (6,-1)

Substitute values for x1 and x2

x = (-2 + 6)/(2)

x = (4)/(2)

x = 2

Hence;

The x coordinate is 2
