x=3/2 im pretty sure this is right.

(3)/(2) (4x - 2) - 3x = 5 - (x + 2)

Expand


(3)/(2) (4x - 2) = 6x - 3


- (x + 2) = - x - 2


6x - 3 - 3x = 5 - x - 2

Collect like terms and simplify


6x - 3x + x = 5 - 2 + 3 \\ 4x = 6

Divide both sides of the equation by 4


(4x)/(4) = (6)/(4)

simplify


x = (3)/(2)
