the inner angle of 2 intersecting chords is half of the sum of the 2 arc angles.

in our case

a = (145 + 45)/2 = 190/2 = 95°

b is then the supplementary angle to a (together they are 180°), as here simply the rules of intersecting lines apply.

so,

b = 180 - 95 = 85°
