Answer: SEE BELOW
Step-by-step explanation:
Mark bought 8 apples for 2.4$
Jenny bought 2 apple and 3 oranges for 2.4$.
Find how much is 1 apple:
8 apples = 2.4$
1 apple = 2.4/8
1 apple = 0.3$
Thus, 1 apple cost 0.3$
Find how much is 1 orange:
2 apple + 3 orange = 2.4$
2(0.3$) + 3 orange = 2.4$
0.6$ + 3 orange = 2.4$
3 orange = 2.4$ - 0.6$
3 orange = 1.8$
1 orange = 1.8$/3
1 orange = 0.6$
Thus, 1 orange cost 0.6$.
