Hector has 3 plates. Each plate has 2 pancakes on it. There are 8 blueberries in each pancake. Which equation can be used to find the total number of blueberries in all?

Answer:

The equation would be: x = 3 times (2 times 8)

x would represent the number of blueberries in all of the pancakes.

I simply made an equation for the number of blueberries on each plate (2 pancakes multiplied by 8, the number of blueberries in each pancake) and multiplied it by the number of plates, which is 3.

That's how I got: x = 3 times (2 times 8).
