• Where is this forest located?
• What is the climate of this region?
• What types of plants and animals live there?
• Why is deforestation of this region a threat?
• is deforestation currently occurring in this region? If so, what is the primary cause?

Answer: I chose rainforest

A rainforest is an area of tall, mostly evergreen trees and a high amount of rainfall. Mean temperatures in tropical rainforest regions are between 20 and 29 °C (68 and 84 °F), and in no month is the mean temperature below 18 °C (64 °F). The main animals are monkeys, Blue Morpho Butterfly, Okapi, Three-Toed Sloth, Jaguar, Capybara, Toucan, and Poison Dart Frog. The main plants are ferns, lichens, mosses, orchids, bromeliads, and of course many types of trees. including the rubber tree. Deforestation is a particular concern in tropical rain forests because these forests are home to much of the world's biodiversity. For example, in the Amazon around 17% of the forest has been lost in the last 50 years, mostly due to forest conversion for cattle ranching. The main cause of deforestation is agriculture (poorly planned infrastructure is emerging as a big threat too) and the main cause of forest degradation is illegal logging.
