Least to greatest is the same as ascending order or descending order?

Decend typically means "go down", in this case greatest to least goes from the biggest number to the smallest ( go down from biggest to smallest). Ascending means to "rise" or "go up", so to starts at the smallest value ascedning to the biggest value.

least to greatest = ascending

greatest to least = descending
