In ∆ABC

We can see that <B=<C=68°

So their respective opposite sides are equal

Hence

  • AB=AC

Option A

Answer:

A) AB = AC

Explanation:

From inspection of the triangle, we can see that the two base angles are equal.

⇒ ∠B = ∠C = 68°

If a triangle has 2 congruent angles, it is an isosceles triangle.

This means that the sides opposite the base angles are also equal.

⇒ AB = AC

Note: If all 3 sides were congruent, then all 3 interior angles would also be equal. If this was the case, the triangle would be an equilateral triangle.
