Grant was excited when he got hired for his first real job a couple of weeks ago. He is sixteen years old and works as a lifeguard during the summer at his community pool. He earns $9 an hour and works twenty-five hours a week. Based on these numbers, he expects his first weekly paycheck to be in the amount of $225. He was shocked when he saw that it was only $180. Explain to Grant why his paycheck was a smaller amount than he expected.

It is law that companies take out income tax from your paycheck every week. So you never actually get the full amount expected because they will always take out income tax
Hope this helps :)
