(3x+4) and (2x−3). What is the perimeter of the park?

Answer: 10x-2

Explanation:

I assume this is a rectangular park

Formula for perimeter: 2(l + w)

l= 3x+4

w= 2x-3

Use PEMDAS to simplify (basic operation from left to right)

  • Parentheses
  • Exponents
  • Multiplication and Division
  • Addition and subtraction

2(l+w)

=2[(3x+4)+(2x-3)]

=2[3x+4+2x-3]

=2[5x-1]

=10x-2
