Hey mate ,

In this question we have given the length of hypotenuse and base of a right angle triangle and asked us to find the perpendicular length

  • Hypotenuse = 16cm
  • base = 9cm

According to Pythagoras theorem ,

Hypotenuse² = Perpendicular²+base²

16cm² = (P)² + 9cm²

256 - 81 cm = P²

√175 cm = P

Perpendicular = 13.22 cm
