Hey ! there

Answer:

  • Circumference of circle is 31.4 yards

Explanation:

In this question we are provided with a circle having diameter 10 yd . And we are asked to find the circumference of circle .

For finding circumference of circle , we need to know the formula for finding circumference . So ,

\qquad \quad \underline{\boxed{\frak{Circumference{(Circle)} = 2\pi r}}}

Where ,

  • π refers to 3.14 or 22/7

  • r refers to radius of circle

Solution : -

After reading question we get to know that we aren't provided with radius . So finding radius :

  • Radius = Diameter/2

  • Radius = 10/2

  • Radius = 5 yd

Now , finding circumference :

\quad \: \longmapsto \qquad \:2 * 3.14 * 5

Multiplying 2 with 3.14 :

\quad \:\longmapsto \qquad \:6.28 * 5

Multiplying 6.28 with 5 :

\quad \: \longmapsto \qquad \: \orange{\underline{\boxed{\frak{31.4 \: yards}}}} \quad \bigstar

  • Henceforth , circumference of circle having diameter 10 yards is 31.4 yards.

Circumference of a circle is given by

C = 2\pi \: r

  • Given - Diameter of circle = 10 yards

radius = (diameter)/(2) = (10)/(2) \\ \\ \implies \: 5 \: yards

now ,

substituting the value of r in the formula of circumference ~

C = 2 * (22)/(7) * 5 \\ \\ \implies \: C = (220)/(7) \\ \\ \implies \: C = 31.43 \: yards \: (approx.)

hope helpful :D
