Required

To do this, we simply equate both expressions of y

i.e.


-x + 4 = 4x - 2

Solve for x


-x - 4x = - 2 - 4


-5x = -6

Divide through by -5


x = (-6)/(-5)


x = (6)/(5)


x = 1.2

Hence, the point of intersection is 1.2
