We have three parts of the equation with a power:

x^2y, 5xy^3, and 7y^2

We can find the degree of each by the following:

x^2y; 2 + 1 = 3

5xy^3; 1 + 3 = 4

7y^2; 2

Therefore, the highest degree is 4.

Best of Luck!
