so the area of the rectangle is 74.24, thats where you get the 8 x 9.28, which is important. so next we're going to go is 9.28-5 which equals 4.28, and that is what the total bottom of 2 triangles would be, (if you drew a rectangle around it). the you would divide 4.28 by 2 to get 2.14, which is the value of 1. next you do 2.14 x 4 and get 8.56. then divide 8.56 by 2 and get back to 4.28. you take 4.28 and multiply it by 4 to get 17.12. from there on you do, 74.24 - 17.12 and get 57.12.
