a ×a + b× b= c × c

  • so we use the side which is straight to the 90° angle for the variable C. For variable A and B it doesn't matter we can use what we want.
  • so the side which is straight to the 90° angle is 17.
  • now let's substitute

1. 15× 15( square of 15) + b× b(square of b) = 17 ×17 (square of 17)

;2. 225 + b×b(square of b ) = 289

3. b×b(square of b) = 289-225

4. b × b( square of b )= 64


√(b * b) = √(64)

b = 8
