Explanation:

To get from frame one to frame two you can either rotate the object in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction.

We can use the edges of the rectangle to monitor the degree with which it is rotated.

If we rotate in a clockwise direction, it means that we are rotating from the left to the right; that is in the direction of the clock. If we are turning this way, we would have to turn the rectangle through 140 degrees to get it into frame 2's position

If we are rotating in the anticlockwise direction (against the direction of the clock) we are turning it from the right to the left. We will be turning it by only 40 degrees to get it into frame 2's position
