Explanation:
The first candidates can be selected in 17 ways, the second in 16 ways, the third in 15 way, the fourth in 14 ways, the fifth in 13 ways and the last in 12 ways.
so times 17 x 16 x 15 x 14x 13 x 12 = 8,910,720
However, the order of the candidates does not matter and they can be selected in 6x 5 x4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 720 ways
now dived both answers 8,910,720÷720 = 12,376
