Ellie drove at a constant rate of 60 miles per hour. She drove for a hours before lunch and for b hours
after lunch. The total number of miles she drove can be expressed as 60(a + b) or as 60a + 60b.
Describe the meaning of each expression.

Answer:

60(a+b) means that you would have to distribute

While 60a+ 60b is already in it's simplest form
