The length of a rectangle is 6 feet more than three times the width of the rectangle. The length of the rectangle is 24 feet. What is the width of the rectangle?

Answer:

6 ft

Explanation:

The length is (3 × width) + 6,

And the length is 24

If you take 6 away from the length, it will be 18, because 24 - 6 = 18

And then the length is also 3× the width (+6 - we've already done this part) so if you divide 18 by 3 you will get 6 ft as the answer
