to solve for A you would need to isolate it(get it by itself) and to do this you would subtract B from both sides

A + B = C
- B - B
——————-
A = C - B

the answer would be A = C - B

Answer:

A = C-B

Explanation:

A+B=C

Subtract B from each side

A+B-B=C-B

A = C-B
