AB = 2 x + 12

Computation:

Assume, AC is a straight line

So,

AC = AB + BC

6 x - 2 = 2 x + 12 + 3 x

6 x - 5 x = 14

x = 14

AB = 2 x + 12

AB = 2 (14) + 12

AB = 40 units
