● A = [x(3)-x(1) ]/(3-1)

● A = [ x(3) - x(1)] / 2

● x(3) = 2×3^2 - 20 ×3 = 18-60= -42

● x(1) = 2×1^2 -20×1 = 2-20 = -18

● A = (-42-(-18))/2

● A = (-42+18)/2

● A = -24 /2

● A = -12

A is negative so the car must be going backwards
