What is the solution to this system of equations?

x+y= 7
x = y + 3

Then you combine like terms and get y=4-y and then add the y to both sides and get 2y=4 and then divide both sides by 2 and get y=2. Then you plug in y in the first equation and get x+2=7. Then you subtract 2 from both sides and get x=5.
