To find median arrange the data in ascending order and count the number of data's. if the total number of data is odd number, then (n/2)th term is the median.

If the total number of data is even, then Average of (n/2)th term and (n/2)+1 th term is the median

Ascending order:

6, 8, 8 , 8 , 9 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 16

total = 10. so even number

Median = average of 5th term and 6th term

=(9+9)/2

= 18/2

= 9
