Why Aluminium oxide has higher melting point than Alumunium Chloride?​

Answer:

They have high melting points . They have ionic

giant lattice structures : strong force of attraction between inland so have high melting points . They are iconic because of large electronegativity differences between the metal and oxygen ....Aluminum oxide (Al203) is ionic but does show some covalent character.
